cost estimation and maintenance of the New Dutch Watherine
In 2005 BunkerQ was asked to advise and assist in the affords to resolve the financing problems surrounding the conservation of the monumental defense line, the New Dutch Waterline. BunkerQ formulated the cost estimate for the maintenance of the hole of the New Dutch Waterline. The spatial strategy and a social costs and benefits analysis was carried out by Rigo Research and Advies BV.
Based on HDM generated calculations the National Government of the Netherlands decided to invest 75 million euros in the conservation and development of the former strategic defence line. This investment was doubled by the provincial governments along the geographical line of the New Dutch Waterline.
Several Dutch Municipalities and the Dutch State Forestry used the HDM to calculate various development scenarios to back their future policy.
